"Taxi drivers have been found to be the primary source in the spread of HIV-AIDS according to an extensive survey conducted by the Sexually Transmitted Disease Unit (STD), Health Ministry sources yesterday.
STD Unit Director Dr. Nimal Edirisinghe said that it had been found that taxi drivers took their clients to secretly operated brothels and the brothel operators would repay them with the services of prostitutes."
