SL was blacked out on Wednesday night for about one and a half hours (7.45pm to 9pm - varies according to various parts of Colombo).
During the news telecast later, an official from the CEB stated the black out was due to lightening.
Surprisingly Jaffna and Trincomalee were not affected.
