Sing with Shihan - Saturday July 1, 2006 (11am to 12noon)
Shihan sang a total of six songs - including a duet (Mal Pibidena) with a fan. His performance was good (I will not comment on the last song As Deka Piyana as I absolutely hate it!) and he appeared to be relaxed and at ease with his fans and interacted with them very well.He was quite smart when answering the questions asked.
The female presenter (Irosha Perera) was the low point of the show - she just didn't let anyone speak!! On several occasions she cut off both Shihan and his fans in mid-sentence and was more like a primary school teacher herding a brood of six-year-olds than a musical show host.
Sing with Malith - Sunday July 2, 2006 (11am to 12noon)
Malith started off the show with an unusual song choice and it didn't get much better from there. His duet with his fan (Ninda Neana Rathriyea) was not great. I felt quite sorry for the boy. He looked uncomfortable and tense most of the time, even though he flashed his mega-watt smile as much as he could.
During his fourth song, the lovely Irosha (who maintained the same low standard she set on Saturday's show) decided to add some flavour by standing in front of him and staring into his face and then cuddling up next to him while he was singing. It was weird.
What is up with Sirasa? With experienced presenters like Madhu and Thanuja, why choose someone like Irosha to host a program that's bound to have many viewers? A few minutes after watching her on Saturday, I actually started to miss Kamal.

Niiiice programme! Very thoughtful of Sirasa. How nice if it was in the evening at the usual superstar time as we are busy at work at 11 am weekends

Program per say is ok. However I watch it only to see Malith. Though the concept is interesting the way of conducting the program is questionable. They could add more enthusiasm and excitment in the future Programs by being more innovative I suppose.
Hostess ofthe progaram is pleasant and nice to see, however she needs to improve a lot in presenting. Should not flirt around with the stars as it does not add any spice to the program.
It has a long way to go and can make much more interesting to the viewers if be more creative time to time.The selection of the starts, Malith and Shihan are perfect as they are the most popular amogst the super stars
This weekend's (July 15/16) programs were a lot better than the first four.
Last week a caller asked Malith about his weight, another politely informed Shihan he looked like a girl and a fan on the show asked Malith how many meters of fabric are required for his trousers......
Irosha still appears to really like leaning against the bodies of these two chaps while they sing....not professional at all. I still don't get why she is presenting the program in the first place.
I would like to see Amila on the show. I hope when he does make it, he selects some interesting songs.
Gosh that girl is too much. She does not know to be proffessional in what she is doing.
Every time she seem to be leaning towards the guys and making a mokery of her self. They should get someone more matured and professional to conduct the show if they want people to continue seeing Malith and shihan.
